Experience

Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai: As a part of
the Practice School – I programme conducted by BITS, Pilani, I worked at
BARC, Mumbai from May to July 2002. Under the guidance of Mr. Vikas
Chauhan, we designed and implemented the I2C communication for
an alarm annunciation system.
- As a Professional Assistant for the Course “Theory of Computation”
in the current semester (first semester of the academic year 2003-2004),
my duties include conducting tutorial sessions and preparation of
assignments.
- As a part of the Practice School - II programme conducted by BITS, Pilani,
I am currently working at Yahoo! Software Development India Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore. I will be working as a six-month intern. I am working on a Matching Engine project, that involves application of Parsers, Expert Systems and Natural Language Processing.
- I am also currently working at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, with Dr A G Ramakrishnan (Dept. of EE, IISc). I am doing a project on developing a Predictive Texting System for the Tamil language. The project involves Natural Language Processing, and could involve Syntactic and Semantic analysis at a later stage. We have also submitted a paper to SIMPLE '04, a National level Conference on Natural Language Processing for Indian Languages, and look forward to its acceptance.
